How It Works

 

Once you have setup your phone to use Hoiio Roaming, it is necessary for you to carry two phones

(1) Singapore number + Hoiio Mobile application and

(2) Overseas number.

    Why do I need to carry two phones?

  • This gives you maximum savings of up to 90% on roaming charges.
  • 1. Incoming Roaming: receive calls on your overseas phone
  • 2. Outgoing Roaming: call via Hoiio from your Singapore phone
  • 3. Sending SMS: send SMS via Hoiio at a flat rate of 8.8 cents from your Singapore phone
  • 4. Receiving SMS: receive SMS in most countries at no cost on your Singapore phone


 

    With Hoiio, all your incoming calls will be forwarded to your overseas phone.
  • 1. Your friend calls you on your Singapore phone
  • 2. The call will be forwarded to your overseas phone

 

    You can use Hoiio to call Singapore and other international numbers.

  • 1. Use your Singapore phone to initiate the call. Hoiio will prompt Use Hoiio to make call? press Yes to call via Hoiio
  • 2. Your overseas phone will ring, please answer
  • 3. Hoiio will connect you to your friend

 

 

 

    You can use Hoiio to send SMS. Your recipients will see your Singapore number when they receive your SMS.

  4. 3. Select recipient(s) and compose your message
  5. 4. Press Send

 

    SMS will be received directly on your Singapore phone.
    Email/Other Data Services.
  • If you have email or other data services, it will be received on your Singapore phone. Please check with your mobile operator about roaming GPRS charges.
